I always said that I wasn't a runner, however this year I have come to LOVE to run!  Now it's an addiction!

 

Short-Term Running Goals:

I have finally decided to run a half marathon, however, it falls on the same Sunday as our primary program. Do you think I could make it to church on time??

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be healthy and active.

Personal:

Married for 7 years to an amazing husband who suppports me in all my crazy activities even while going to grad school and is crazy busy himself! Two beautiful kiddo's 5 and 3!

I just got my garmin so this was my first recorded run. I love using it and can't wait to unleash it's full power!  I had to walk a lot of this path today, hope to do better friday!

I struggled through my jog this morning.  The first mile I walked and then kept a nice jog pace the rest. My shoes, oh man I was hoping for a better first run than that.  My right foot was bliss, however my left KILLS me I had a sore leg anyway and now my shoe hits my arch funny what should I do?? besides fix my run on sentence? 

Off to hike TIMP!!

My left leg hurts so bad!! What on earth did I do to it? It only hurts after I have run a bit and then have to stop, how can I help this?

Wahoo, this was a new time record for me.  I actually ran, well jogged, but running to me the whole trail.  I know not a big deal for some of you, but I have NEVER even thought I would WANT to do that.

Oh I am SO glad today is FRIDAY!! I need a break from swimming lessons.    We took the trail slow today but we still jogged the whole thing.

Why is monday so hard?  could be because I also took saturday off?  My usual people didn't come with me today, I had my neighbor and my sis-in-law. I think our group may be getting bigger.  our best pace was 8:41 a mile. I am happy with that.  Pretty good for someone who hates to run, right?  However, I do want to improve my time, I have to keep up with my other crazy neighbors, yeah you know who you are:)

So I didn't press start on my garmin till we were already on the trail this morning, so I don't really know how far we went, I know I went at least three.  Today was tuff, I think that 5 hours of sleep for the last couple of days is catching up to me.  So question, if 12 minutes of swimming equals 1 mile of running. Do I get to count 5 hours of swimming lessons to the equation??  Could be why I have been so pooped!

Do you guys run while you have a chest cold? I don't know if I am being a wus but I can barely breathe!  Hmm, I wonder if it would help me clear my lungs......or I might pass out.....if you see my on the trail call 911!!
